FAQ’s
Confidentiality
Trust and safety are critical in fostering a therapeutic space for your healing journey. Privacy of all communication is protected by state and federal laws as well as professional ethical standards. Exceptions to these rules include: your written authorization to involve a support person in your therapy, danger to yourself, danger to others, child or elder abuse or neglect, a court order or a medical emergency.
What to Expect
An initial consultation call gives you an opportunity to ask questions and receive information about services to determine if Vitality Counseling & Wellness LLC is an appropriate fit for your needs. An initial session is 60 minutes in length and involves reviewing paperwork and gathering background information to best support your therapy goals. Following individual sessions are typically 50 minutes in length unless other arrangements are made.
Insurance and Reimbursement
We are an out of network provider, meaning we are not in network with any insurance companies. The rate at which insurance companies reimburse for out of network claims varies. You can call your insurance company and inquire about out of network benefits for mental health services based on your specific plan. VCW will submit to your insurance company for out of network claims on your behalf.
Cash, check, credit/debit cards and HSA accounts are acceptable forms of payment and payment is requested at the time of session. A reduction in fees, or a sliding scale, is offered for those who are experiencing financial hardship and exhibit a financial need.
Cancellation Policy
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you and without 24-hour notice of a cancellation, that time slot cannot be offered to another client. There will be a full session fee charge for missed or late cancelled appointments, outside of emergency circumstances. Insurance will not reimburse for missed appointments.
